For me, there really isn't any one special place. A special place can be anywhere, anytime that I have a chance to think about life - about how small I am and how quite large life itself is.
For me, the Grand Canyon and Maryland Route 137 are special places. But a special place can even be in my own neighborhood: A forest or creek; even a golf course just before sunset when everyone has retired for the evening - to walk and reflect; to simply be. . .that's what puts me in touch with who I am. And it is that very reflective nature that I was going for in this piece. . .
