Original Quigley is a songwriter based in the North of Scotland, writing across multiple genres including pop, rock, alternative and occasionally EDM! A number of his tracks have found success including:
"The Place That We Know" winning the Hot 100 Contest (here on Broadjam) in Dec'20, as well as placing as semi-finalist in 2020's UK Songwriting Contest
"At Least" winning SongwriterUniverse's "Best Song" for March 2021 and also placing as semi-finalist in UK Songwriting Contest for 2021
"Give Me Rain" won 3rd place in Voyager's International Songwriting Contest in 2021
He also has worked on various collaborations including as one half of Scottish band-East End Friend ("Shine" and "Good Cop, Bad Cop") and more recently with fellow Broadjammer, John Walradt ("You Can Feel It").
At present, he is focusing upon writing tracks that would sit well in both the tv and film market.

Latest News

July has proven to be a good month, both for songwriting and for some (modest) recognition. This month I'm releasing "Only For Tonight" which features the vocals again of Cooper Moss and which was expertly mixed and mastered by (Sir) John Walradt! Out later this month will be another new track-"Disappearance" which is my foray into a more 'cinematic' sound.

Was delighted to find out that "Presumably" has made it to the semi-final stage of the UK Songwriting Contest for 2022 as well as to the semi-final stage of the highly coveted "Unsigned Only" contest for 2022. It's always a real boost to find out that your songs are well-received from an external viewpoint.

Nice job Quigs on Something About You--unique in its lack of a real chorus! Well done sir!

Hello Jim,
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well in sunny Killie?!!
You've actually pulled me back into Broadjam for the first time in months. I've pretty much given up on it due to the money it was costing me in submissions and also in the lack of any real clarity on how the opp system actually worked. Some strange goings on. I've kept my account 'live' but I'm pretty much finished with the system.
Feel free to keep in touch via my email: robertquigley1973@gmail.com
I'm still writing away and have actually just got great news about a grant that I applied for, through Creative Scotland. I applied for £4k to write 3 songs and to upscale the vocalists and production etc....first time around I was turned down but second time, was successful. You should seriously consider it. Just Google Creative Scotland and see the application process. It's quite a long task to apply but with the news that i got on Friday, I'm really excited to be getting the chance to do something without having to spend my own money. I'm even buying a new laptop with part of the funding, as well as paying for 5 mentoring sessions with a guy in Nashville. Oh, and joining Taxi.com to see how that works. Things that I just simply wouldn't be able to justify paying for otherwise. Definitely worth you looking at, being as you are in Scotland. It's open all year round.
Hope you are well and yeah, drop me an email to that address.
Robert
