I'm Craig Bowers and I have been playing and writing music since I was in my late teens. I have performed all over the southern United States at fairs, concerts, clubs, etc.--I've done it all.
The Music:
I tend to write whatever type of song starts playing in my head, whether it's a blues rocker like 'Tear it Down',a country ballad like 'Come on Home' or my response to a troubled world 'A Simple Prayer',I still feel right at home.
Consequently this is a pretty eclectic collection.
My Goal:
I signed on to Broadjam to market my songs to artists looking for material and to be heard on a world wide platform.
Blessed with a little help from my friends: Robert Stephen, Ed Karwatske,Tom Shoaf,Ken Vaillant,Sam Masiello,Gary Brown and Glen Phillips-Madcow and The Jacks-and the amazing Jeannie Blatus, who provided their considerable talents pro bono I believe I can achieve my goals.

Latest News

June 2010:
I just completed a project with fellow Broadjammer Sam Masiello. The working title is Fresh Squeezed and it should be available on iTunes and AmazonMP3 soon.

Thanks for the many encouraging reviews from the mighty Broadjam community. It is a privilege to be counted amongst you. As artists we need all the validation we can get. The acceptance and approval of this amazingly creative group continues to be an inspiration.
Thanks again.cb

The Story So Far...

I was born at Niagara Falls, New York and lived on the notorious Love Canal until a family exodus transplanted 12 year old me to beautiful Vero Beach Florida.
We had no television(there were only 2 available channels and they required an antenna on a 30 foot mast) so I listened to my AM Channel Master radio-top 40 rock and roll from Miami. But at night I was rewarded by WLAC out of Nashville, Tennesee.A Rythmn and Blues station:Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker,B.B.King, Slim Harpo,Little Walter,Freddy King, etc. When The Beatles showed up I knew that this was for me.
I got my first electric guitar and was in a band, playing at the local roller rink the next week.
Community centers, High School dances and at 16(I lied about my age) backing up strippers at nearby nightclubs.Lots of bands followed and went through an acoustic only phase in the 70's.
Big hair covers in the 80's.
Turned my graphic arts hobby into a career in the 80's and made a sideways move to cablevision design in the 90's.
I formed Madcow with co-worker Robert Stephen in 1994 and wrote about 20 songs that we recorded at his home studio. After some health issues I put music on a back burner until 2009 when my career in cable abruptly ended.
I started writing new material and collaborating with fellow Broadjammer Sam Masiello (check out his site). I currently have about 30 new tunes in various stages of ready and I hope to make them available soon.
That's the thumbnail version.
