Tristan, thanks for reviewing "Bluthner Solitude". Your comments about usage in a horror film are very insightful. My first arrangement of this had the piano much more cinematic with reverb placement and detuning . . . however, I settled on the current arrangement. The song has been picked up by a library but do the possibilities ever end? Thanks again!

nice to meet you Tristan and thank you for the very in depth and ACCURATE review of No More Worries 'bout Me--you nailed the flaws, but nailed the quality as well--i sung this myself, hence the vocal take, and the piano player was in L.A, he sent me some chords, i wrote the song with Newman in mind, lyrics and melody--, so you are spot on sir! many thanks for your kind words and accuracy---all the best, Warren Hein

No problems at all. I wasn't sure about the vocal, I assumed it was probably a case of the writer putting their vocals down. If this is a case where you'd then look to give it to another singer, then I think your vocal was more than adequate to show the potential and style of the song.

Hi Tristan,
Face in the Mirror is a great piece! Soundtrack material for sure. It reminded me of music for Hugo, with the piano in the beginning. But it stands on its own overall. Great job!

Hi Tristan,
Thanks for your positive review of Slipping from Reality. I am honored that you heard a little Prokofiev in that piece. I love Peter and the Wolf. The oboe, which represented the duck, probably reminded you of that. I'll soon check your stuff out.
Thanks,
Nick Kushner.

Hi Tristan,

Thanks for the fine review of the instrumental version of my song, "Lovers And Friends"... As you clearly observed, it is an instrumental lift to a song with lyrics.... check it out at my BJ site if you are interested. Appreciate the feedback and insights, too!

Best,

Chet Nichols
