I have used a singer from Ottawa for some of my songs.
She is great!
Hi Chameleon, I enjoyed "Life's Passage" immensely! Nice play and melody!
I will listen to more of yours, especially when you sing!
I am from Scotland so I have a Celtic flavour at times in my music and songs: Especially, "Uilleann Promise"!
Enjoy, if you hear it from on my page!
Whenever I feel low I have heard your music and I got fresh
how are you and the family doing - haven't heard from you in a witches age. . .
Hey Doug, Thanks for sharing "I Still Need You"! UNREAL! You killed it on this song. Absolutely everything is perfect. You've done amazing work since I've been listening, but this one is extra special.
Thanks so much Nathan! That means so much coming from you :-) I hope you are keeping well. Any sites other than BJ that you'll do licensing through? I let my Taxi membership slide as I couldn't warrant the expense just to have to go through one extra person to have my song passed on. I've had better luck with Hitlicense and Music Xray, and excellent fortune with BJ.
Chameleon, Nice song, 'Forever & A Day". it reminds me of America...you have a wonderful voice! Very Cool arrangement, like the use of the Banjo...unexpected!! Marg & Art Corey B-Jam..love you to hear some of our stuff and comment if you have time...........5 Stars my friend!!!!!!!!!!!
Nathan, congratulations on your recent success. It's nice to see someone on Broadjam actually moving up in the music world. Good Luck with your upcoming gigs. Anthony
Thanks so much Anthony! It's a slow grind, but it is nice to feel like I'm moving forward! Appreciate the note. Best,
Hi Linda! Thanks so much for the kind comment on my wall! Keep in touch!
Nathan, Love "Forever and A Day". I saw it on the top ten chart and decided to take a listen. I also have a song by this name but my goes in a totally different direction. I love your work. Take care laramie
Hello Nathan! I really enjoyed reading your interview on the TAXI website, great stuff! You are a very impressive individual :)
That's an awesome profile pic Doug :)!
Thanks Nathan :-)
Hi Nathan, you did a totally awesome job on Doug's song, not just the gorgeous vocals, but also the percussion and production and mix and playing! Bravo! Now I know why you call yourself Chameleon!
Ditto!! Awesome song!! And Doug mentioned you have some great stuff/ news going on!! Wish you all the best!!:)
Wow, thanks guys! Gotta say that a good production starts with a great song and Doug handed me an awesome song. Really appreciate the comments, and was exciting to work with Doug on that one.
" anything" is nothing but SWEEEET!! Wow! Love this song, Doug!! Nathan did a fantastic job as a producer and vocals! You wrote an awesome song! Great for today's market.. Film/ commercial!! So catchy and love the bridge:)! Good luck with this one:)!!
Thanks Julia. I have such high hopes for this one. And it's the most personally honest song I've written from the standpoint of being totally true to life from start to finish :-) - a love song of sorts for my wife. And she actually really likes it, which says a lot coming from my toughest critic.
Yes, to say that Nathan's talent is special would be an understatement. And thew funny thing is I knew him from years ago, before i had anything to do with the music business :-)
More than welcome!! I just took another listen!! High hopes is an understatement!! So glad she likes it!! And it's about her !! That's adorable!:)).....again LOVE IT!!:)
That's cool you knew Nathan before! It is a small world!! Great team you guys make!!:)
You're right Julia, the bridge is such a cool section! So often bridges can be more of an afterthought but this one was a killer!
Nathan's got some big things going on musically. TAXI music is making him highlighted member of the month for April, and he has a great Folk duo partnership with a talented songwriter named Michelle. They're getting some big-name attention and just cut their first video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q39
fZmLaG18. He's such an honestly fantastic human being who deserves nothing but the best.
And thanks too Zac. The bridge is the part I'm most proud of as well - easily my favorite part, and the part that required the most re-working to get it just the way I like it :-)
Wow !! I'll have to go over to his site and wish him the best !!:)) that's awesome !!
You should! I just left him a congratulatory note too
He doesn't check his BJ page that much he said, so I'll email him to tell him to check it out :-) www.blucedar.com is his band's site too.
Done!! Zac, you beat me to it!! LOL:) yes please do, Doug:)!!!
You've got a really incredible song here Doug, and I'm really thrilled to have had a hand in it! I'm reading all these comments and feeling pretty blessed to be in company with such awesome and supportive people. Yeah, you have no clue how cool it was when I first saw Doug was getting into this side of music. He's the Dr. who really got us on track with our oldest son who has had such a rough road with his health. Not just an amazing healer, but a truly awesome person and friend. I'm so happy we get to connect on another level aside from what we already had in our friendship! Rock on guys, and thanks for all the kind words!
How old is your son Nathan? What was the health issue which Dr Doug was able to sort out? (if you don't mind me asking!!) :D
More than welcome Nathan!! Hope your son continues on the road of healing:) and That's awesome Doug helped in your son in many ways!! You guys have a special connection! You can just tell!!:)
Our oldest son is 9 now. It's been a pretty long road. He has an auto immune disorder that affect almost every aspect of his and our lives.
Thanks for sharing Nathan. I'm so sorry to hear that, I'm glad Doug was able to help. How many children do you have? I have 3 kids, my oldest Lara is 6 and she has been suffering from Leukemia since she was 2 but she seems to be better now, however a year ago she had a nasty relapse and it was a stressful time. Her brother was a bone marrow match and so she had a transplant in June.
What a terrible ordeal you've had to go through with Lara. I had no idea Zac. Hopefully things start to remedy themselves. Please consider looking into an earthing sheet for her - http://www.barefoothealing.com.au/v/what-is-earthing/22 1 This is very protective against tendency to bloodborne cancers like leukemia and brain tumors.
I had no idea, Zac! We will send prayers to you and your family continually!..so heartily sorry to hear this .. May she cont. strength and healing, and strength for your family ..... And Nathan prayers out to your son and family as well...
Thank you Doug and Julia; I'm pleased to say that since her bone marrow transplant she has continued to be `clear' for 6 months now, but we are always vigilant because the first time she was `cured' it came back after a few months of remission. So no longer are we complacent!
I understand the fear you may have... May she be healed and continue to be " cleared"... Again many prayers !! It sure does make life's every second precious...
Many thanks, Nathan. I appreciated your comments on my song 'Slow to Go'.
It is true that the song is of an older style and less sophisticated than anything I am hearing since I started reviewing work on Broadjam. I've been a bit shocked to find that contemporary folk has changed so much. I never usually listen to music at all but I like lyrics and the music I make is really just meant to carry those. I like the simple sound of guitar and voice, though I've started putting a little flute into some of the songs.
I've only put two songs on to Broadjam so far. I'll put more soon but they will all be very simple and therefore, as you say, probably unsaleable which is a shame. I am very glad though that you enjoy this style of music - perhaps a few other people will too. With best wishes and thanks John
I love the fiddle in Forever and a Day.
do you have a private email, I be interested in speaking with you about a music project.
"All I Need This Christmas" beautiful! Happy holidays!
Sooo close Nathan! I voted hard for your music. Still a great accomplishment making the final 10 though. :-)
Hey Doug! Thanks so much! I feel really good about where I placed. It's a pretty stiff competition and the top 3 are very good. Really appreciate your encouragement and support.
Love the new electronica track. The textures you are flowing through keep the tracks moving the entire time. Great listen! Keep up the good work.
Thanks Nathan! It's actually going to be used in a dance competition for an acro-dance group. By the way, please private mail me with what your rates would be to lay down vocal tracks and acoustic guitar/banjo for the song in progress I mentioned to you a couple weeks ago, if you are still amenable to the idea :-) I'm happy to pay you for it.
Hey Brook! You certainly have a depth and soul to your voice that draws the listener in. I've loved hearing your songs in the 6-pack and wish you best of luck.
Chameleon, Congrats on the Shortlist on HL (Love Struck). Personally, I think you stack up strongly against the others, and frankly, I'f I were the Supervisor, I'd go with you. (I don't throw these comments around BJ all day, so I'm being honest) Good luck, "Wreck Me" is a song I expect I'll hear on feature films or TV very soon!...
You've got some really incredible music on here!.. Really impressed, and good luck in the 6 pack!...
Hey Brook! Thanks so much for stopping by. I appreciate the kind words! Best of luck to you as well! It's gonna be a nail biter for sure :)!
Nathan, man. I am plugging for you in the 6-pack final. While you are up against some serious talent, your combined talents take the cake! God speed and Good Luck!
Nick my friend! What ever happens in this competition is secondary to the support and friendships that I have made through this community. I truly appreciate your words and am blessed to count you as a friend!
Hey guys! Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for the comment on my wall. I had a quick listen to Life Is Wonderful (Just a tease :) and I'll be back to listen to more. Hey guys! Thanks so much stopping by. Really encouraging when peers take the time to show support and appreciation.
Wow, I can't believe I made the top 40! Thank you everyone who voted my songs up to get me there. My music doesn't go anywhere without the generous support of all you wonderful people. Also, a bit congrats to everyone who entered and to those who moved on into the top 40. I've heard a lot of amazing music as usual and this community has some crazy talent. Wreck Me makes my top list! Fantastic writing, performance.
Thanks Jeff! This is one of my songs that has generated some great momentum so far, and I was lucky enough to get it signed to a really high end library in L.A. I'm so glad the song seems to be resonating well with a diverse audience, and I really appreciate your comments. Thanks again.
thanks for being another inspiration

Hey Doug! Thanks! I think that's the first time I've cracked into that top-ten category! Always feels good :)!
" meant to be"..is a beautiful lil' tune, Nathan! !!.amazing heartfelt vocals you always have!.and loved the tender falsetto! ! Sweet lyrics as well!
Thanks Julia! Really appreciate those kind words! I'm hoping to build up the song with a full arrangement at some point but I still love those stripped down acoustic versions as well.
