Thanks for reviewing "I've Got My Telephone", Mike. It was written as a tribute to Steely Dan trying to re-capture that flavor, so glad you heard that come through.

Thank you for reviewing Tonight's The Night. It's written with sporting events in mind, playoffs, finals, etc. All natural drums (on all my songs).

Thank you for your kind review, I have been told before that the song has an 80's vibe so I am going to keep that in mind.

After hearing it, I went to ITunes to see if there was a longer version, and when I found the 3:26 song on the MyMoon album, I bought it there.

Thanks for the nice review of "That's One Thing" (intro only), Dave. Funny you mention about a band coming in....if you go to my page and listen to the full-length version, the story continues with a driving rock 2nd half with a brief but wicked solo. I call it a tale of two songs, and the full title is That's One Thing (You Don't Understand About Me). Feel free to check it out some time.

Wow such a great jam! Congrats... hope I get more of your songs to review.

Hey Bob, I checked out the full song... yeah man, sounds great. I love your influences, I can hear a lot of 80's in there haha... great backing vocals and guitar! Do your thing!!

Bob Birthisel posted over 30 days ago

Muchas gracias, Dave! That entire song was done with 1 drummer, 1 guitarist who played all parts including bass, and me holding down 1 key on a Hammond B3 during the intro and singing. All-in was about 3 hours. Glad you liked it!

Dear Ante, Thanks for your nice review of Dingle Dangle Scarecrow. It was just a bit of fun, and you are right, I am a massive Steely Dan fan too! All the best Rob.

Thanks for reviewing Blues Conversation, and glad you enjoyed the lyric twists! No MIDI used here, just 3 outstanding studio players -- Jeremy who played all guitar parts including bass, Mark on the Hammond B3 and Al on drums. I'm doing vocals. To keep a "live" sound we did this on the fly in just under 3 hours start to finish.

Thanks for the amazing review of "Friends Don't Let Friends Drive Everyone Crazy!" Funny you mentioned Katy Perry in the review. I wanted to challenge myself (at age 66 at the time) to write a Pop song and her story-song music was my starting point. In fact, the working title in the studio was "The Katy Perry Song" until I got all the lyrics worked out. Yes, Harley Sumabat is an excellent female guest singer on this tune. She's local in Charlotte but appeared on Country Music Television's show "Can You Duet" with a partner a few years back. Glad you enjoyed it!

Don't know if this will come across, but it's a link to a solo YouTube video from Harley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ugd W0fVlTj4

Bob, do you have her direct contact info, we have some Pop tunes, that she would sound really Killer singing on! What did she charge for vocalizing on your composition??
Again, LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Your Tune!!
I have a Grand idea, let's connect on Broad Jam and be Musical Buds!!!
Happy Trails,
The Corey's

Bob Birthisel posted over 30 days ago

I do not. She was hired as a session singer from GAT3 Studios in Charlotte NC, and they collected the funds so I can't tell you exactly what she charges. I'm guessing (????) $100-150 per song but that's a total guess. You could contact Susan or Glenn @ GAT3 to see what they'd charge if you sent your songs over and they recorded her for you.

Margie & Art Corey posted over 30 days ago

Bob, thanks for all the Info on Harley, I sent the studio GAT3 a text!!
In the meantime....Let's connect??
Happy Trails,
The Corey's

Bob Birthisel posted over 30 days ago

I don't know how to do that - tried figuring it out but I'm not finding the answer on connection.

Margie & Art Corey posted over 30 days ago

Hey Bob ,I'm not sure either, I always ask other Broad Jam members and they do the connection thingy!!
Ask Anthony at Broad Jam, he will tell you how to execute the procedure!!!
Hope That Helps.........
I'm still trying to figure out how to mass send a tune with one Email??
Toodles,

I just found this in the FAQ section: Login into your Broadjam account and go to a Broadjam member's Artist Profile page. Then click on the "follow" or "friend" link at the top right. Following someone will connect you to them. Adding them as a friend will follow them and send a request to them to follow you. You can also click the "Connect" link next to members' names alongside comments that they have made.
