Hi, Sandra. Thank you for stopping by and asking about my method of songwriting. I always come up with the melody first. My best ones come to me instantly but I still have to put a lot of effort into finding that instant catchy tune. Sometimes, not often, I'll wake up with a chorus melody. Melodies have a feeling of something and that's where my story line comes in. The notes fill the spaces between the words with the emotion. Sometimes I'll know right away what the tune is about. Other times I have to wait...sometimes months or years...before the tune lets me know what it's about. I don't consider myself to be a lyricist. I write conversational words. The words are the hardest part of the song to write.

I have listened to your songs which are very good! You have chord changes I wouldn't have thought of and a lovely vocal. Lyrically universal and avoiding the cliches so everyone can relate to them. I would like to know the credits behind them: who wrote the tune, the lyrics, how it was produced. Instruments used, whose vocals, and if AI was used (if so, which website or software and for what parts). These are important things that are helpful for your listeners to get to know you more as a music maker. Yep, it's a tedious time consuming thing to add that in the profiles of your songs, but worth it.

Hi John, thank you for the kind words about my songs. I really appreciate that.

My process can vary depending on the project. Sometimes I start with an idea, lyrics or a melody, and other times I work from a producer's track and build the vocal and songwriting around what they have created. I also work with other producers to help bring their music or ideas to life, so it's quite collaborative for me.

As for the production side, I don't have a studio of my own, so I work with producers who handle the production. They use advanced digital tools and elements to enhance and shape the songs. I'm involved mainly with the songwriting, vocals and bringing the creative idea together.

I'm curious about your own songs though. What would you say is the main challenge you're dealing with with your music right now?

Thank you for your kind words. I don't get a lot of feedback so I really appreciate you reaching out.
To answer your question, I usually start a brand new track by auditioning sounds from my various soft synths. My favorite synth is Omnisphere. Just amazing. That usually gets me going. But there are several others. Like an embarrassment of riches.
