Story Behind The Song
We all know the sotry; Like many third or fourth world countries such as North Korea, Serfbia, the Congo, Eritrea, who do not find themselves rich in oil, Iraq was suffering under a brutal dictatorship.
We, the ever ultruistic Americans come in with enough firepower to destroy Western Europe and after a few weeks we win these peoples liberation and freedom.
Freedom to thave us rape them of their culture, their diet, their religion, their values and natural resources.
I do things like write these songs when this kind of stuff happens.
It's a simple folk song with alot of electronics and an artfully (?) treated vocal track.
Song Description
A musical lament for the passing of a people, a culture and a place; passing under the despotic and cynical foreign policy of a greedy US President who never faced his Oedipal urges and still does his Daddy's dealings in this world.

Lyrics
the sad Imir knows
it's fight or die
and Rumie climbs
into the sky
Jesus throws
His gold crown high
Baghdad is dying
Sinbad sailed for Tripoli
he spilled his oil
into the sea
and told his clan
don't follow me
Baghdad is dying
spare this land
this family tree
our cradle of humanity
spare this sword
of gluttony
Baghdad is dying
Oannes punish these your sons,
Babylon now rise again
save our ancient motherland
Baghdad is dying
