Lyrics

I called you Ruby Tuesday
Cause you changed with each new day
Ever new, exciting
We were gliding on our way
Exploring each new color
From the palette of your love
I felt the light come shining down
From heaven up above

Then suddenly it seemed everything was wrong
One morning, you destroyed my favorite song

You said
Get it thru your head now baby
We had our time, it's over
We were not forever
Didn't you get that from the start
Your words were clear as crystal
So I got it thru my head
But still I just can't get it thru my heart

I've never been that lucky
When it comes down to romance
From the first time that I saw you
Never thought I had a chance
I couldn't have been more flattered
When you lured me with your smile
Visions of euphoria
And walking down the aisle

In one heartbeat, the light changed from green to red
My heart stopped when you looked at me and said

You said
Get it thru.....

Who needs this heartache?
Love is so absurd
you made my heart break
With 6 or 7 words

You said.....

Nice, snappy, upbeat song. Reminds me of The Beach Boys, and has a 60's or 70's flavor, which I like.
Enjoyed the vocal backing and harmonies

I found the arrangement and vocalist to be quite good. I liked the instrumental choices.I had to struggle a bit to hear the words. I would have liked the vocals to be a touch more up front. This song would go well on radio and/or in a movie.

like the laidback style on this song good tone on the voice
reminds me of Beachboys in early days!

Very well done piece. Has sort of a Beach Boys flavor to it. Sad, but at the same time it sort of has a pick-me-up feel to it. Simple but effective arrangement.
