Story Behind The Song
Josh C came up with this one of the first times we collaborated on music since I moved back from California. I love the simplicity of it. He did some weird open tuning in F or something and I remember playing the recording of it for Alicia. She said it sounded like something falling and floating lightly in the air... Obviously this conjured up the images of feathers and the girl spinning and dreams, etc... I think the lyrics on this one match the music well... I think music like this is very emotional and can mean different things to different people... it's very artistic and reveals a depth in our music... --Brian Weber

Lyrics
FALLING
(Josh Campbell/Brian Weber 12/01)
Sunlight
A young girl dances and spins in the yard
In a white dress
Floating and rising and touching the grass
Beauty
The young man feels the world pull at his heart
Needing feeling
Answers to questions that keep them apart
CHORUS
Ooh, dreams never last
You can?t leave the past after all
Slipping, let?s go of her hand
Somebody help me I?m falling again
Floating
Windblown feathers that dance in the night
Hoping, praying
Oh my God won?t you heal us tonight?
CHORUS
