Story Behind The Song
I love the opening riff that Josh C came up with on this and that led me into adding the opening rock yell. We use this song all the time to open up a set and it's a great opener announcing our presence as a band. That's why it is the first track on our demo... Just as the title suggests this song is kind of a critical look at the world. But I think there is some hope communicated in it as well. It's kind of like let's move on and reinvent ourselves and start a new life... just leave all the garbage behind and wipe the slate clean. It's basically a reaction to the negative stuff that happens in the world... that there is an escape route and we can survive and even be better for the hard times we all experience. --Brian Weber

V.1
You?re such a lonely little girl
Living in a dangerous world
Wrap your arms around me hold on tight
We can leave tonight
Bridge
People of the world come take a ride with me
I?ll show you scenes of war, I?ll show you signs of peace
And when our road trip ends I think that you will see
On the brink like nothing before, right at your door
The times are getting critical
Chorus
It?s getting rough, where is the love
Push comes to shove it?s getting kind of physical
It?s hard to feel or know what is real
Finding the truth is getting kind of difficult
Fat cats that itch and scratch your back
But lack the facts of living in the real world
Hold on something is wrong I can?t work it out
And I?m getting kind of cynical
V.2
Let?s go while we still have the time
Just you before me the world behind
Forget the places we have been
We?ll begin again
Bridge
Children of the world?
Chorus
