Song DescriptionA thoughtful ballad with a modern production.
Story Behind the SongThe song was written as a result of moving the capo up to the fifth fret of the guitar which gave the chords a melancholic feel, from which the lyrics came pretty quickly. It was produced remotely by longstanding collaborator Corin Anderson (CoriAnder), who stamped his trademark beautiful electronic textures to the track.

Lyrics
I wish I were carefree like you
I know it's just me
I wish I were restless like you
You're a mess, it's true
I wish the world would stop
We're at the top of our game
I know it's just me
You're the tide, you're the sea
I lay on cinnamon sands
While pebbles slip through my hands
I wish I were strong like you
I know it's just me
But you crash on the stones
While my bones get so old
I know it's just me
You're the tide, you're the sea
I lay on cinnamon sands
While pebbles slip through my hands
I know it's just me
You're the sea, I'm the land
