Hi Jimmy.....I would like to forward you a tune I had written many years ago with BroGreede. It's in the country genre and I also sang on it(my Brother insisted-he was the actual lead vocalist for us)-I'm not a lead singer!!...I would appreciate your honest opinion-because I know...you know your stuff! BG has been on Broadjam since 2001...it's a long story! I'm the only surviving member/ original founder...my brother(drummer)passed in 2011 just as we were really getting it together-and a new studio to boot!!!!...My brother was the one in charge of all the internet stuff and Broadjam...when he left I was devastated!....I didn't keep up with Broadjam and just let it go! I re-joined about 7-8 months ago....just to keep my brothers spirit alive/ carry the torch-sort of speak! To me ...it's all about having fun...sharing music and ideas, meeting other musicians and making friends! I'm not on this site for any other reason. The days of dreaming to be a rock star- that's way over...LOL !!!! I'm planning on putting together a new CD with an old drummer friend of mine...just us 2....will probably take a very long time...but I'm excited about it...it will be fun! Just so you know I'm a multi-instrumentalist-composer and write in many genres! My fav is keyboards and I have a natural predilection for country(even though BG was all about progressive rock/ metal).I was told by many that I play like Bruce Hornsby-and this was way before he was known!!! So anyway....I'm looking forward to this new adventure. I would like your review on "WESTERN TOWN"....but I can only forward it to you through messages...right!?...Please let me know...appreciate it!...Thanx man!! TK-BG

Sir this doesn't work that way, if you submit a song to be critiqued, you cant just ask the person to unfriend you because he did not give you the rating you wanted. That is not how it works in Nashville I can promise you that brother! I wish I had a dime for every song I have had turned down chopped up and torn apart by artists and publishers. If you cant take the heat either work harder on your songs maybe cowrite with someone or take some classes on songwriting . I am trying to challenge you to be a better writer. If I have a song you evaluate and you don't think its good just say so I'm not on here for ratings.
Hi Jimmy, I think you are right with drums back beat....the song is worth the effort to change the drums......stay tuned! and yes, it would be great to have you do vocals on some tracks.... the way it works best for me is as follows: I send you a track, you top line, the I will remix for the vocal...then off to the races for listings.... Hey Jimmy , you recently reviewed our song, "Karaoka Queen" and were pretty tough on it when scoring!!!! Just curious, why did you hate the composition so much?? Our Music was good, the Vocals were as good as yours, the story was fair, was it too close as far as the Broad Jam competition goes ?? Hi Jimmy - TNX for the revue of 'Don't Tell Me'. That's Mike Lusk down in Nashville on the vocals. Love his voice. I could never pass for a country singer...grin...so he's my go-to guy. You'd get a kick out of hearing my original songwriter demo for the song - it was all Michael McDonald - DX7 - 6ths and maj 7th chords...it worked great as an urban, jazz/pop song. The fact that it could move to another genre with a 'country rinse' opened up my eyes about a lot of my older tunes. Appreciate your listen and positive feedback!

I'm shooting high for artist placements, and am getting an ongoing opportunity with the SongTown crowd to get in front of artists and pitch. Those songs that don't seem to cross that threshold and get a bite, I then pitch to sync. I'm in four libraries now after getting back into writing a year ago. Hi Jimmy , thanks for your review of TREMBLING . We've had a lot of fun with this one , and it's come close several times to being featured in films etc , but hasn't made the cut - yet ! Era wise , peoplehave placed it anywhere from the 50's to the 80's . I would plump for the 70's !
