Song Of The Year Awards

Song Of The Year Award June 2013
Even though your material did not place as a Winner or Finalist, you still did incredibly well in the contest with two of your songs.

Your song "A Soul Once On Fire" received the "Semi-Finalist" placement as listed on your personalized placement page at: A Soul Once On Fire

You also received a secondary placement with "Hearts Slowly Dance" that received a "Runner-Up" placement as listed at: Hearts Slowly Dance

In every contest, there are five "Semi-Finalists" in each category. The "Semi-Finalist" placement is the highest placement next only to the one winner and four finalists from each category. The next five highest placing songs (under the "Semi-Finalist" placements) are the "Runner-Ups". Both the "Semi-Finalist" and "Runner-Up" placements indicate that your songs were in the top 1% of all of the entries in the contest.

The male vocals on both songs sound very professional and both songs have wonderful production qualities!
Receiving two placements within the same contest is fairly uncommon. Great job and congratulations on your songwriting placements!

Hey Marilyn,

Thanks so much for the 5-Star review of my Christmas song,
"That's My Town At Christmas". It is a fun song and people seem to be enjoying it.

I also posted another new Christmas Song, "The Christmas Train". It is a mellow jazzy-pop effort with a Boz Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby vibe to it. It is a sweet and endearing song that depicts someone going home to a loved one at Christmas. I was inspired by a tale my cousin's husband told me about him taking a train to see my cousin when he was coming home from a war. The idea stuck with me and eventually blossomed into a nice tune. Check it out at my site. I think you will enjoy it. Anyway, I hope all is well with you, especially with the world we live in which is unrecognizable to my thoughts of how it would be when I thought about "the future" and what it would be like.....40 years ago.

God bless and be safe.

Chester

Apology if it is not my business, and my english is not native, but I thought I should let you know ;-)
