Tom Rudd Bio
Tom Rudd was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut April 5th 1954. Raised in the town of Easton, Conn. By the age of 10 had already started taking private guitar lessons learning to play the electric guitar. By high school Tom began learning tenor sax and flute, but always kept practicing and learning songs on his favorite instrument the guitar. Tom formed his first band "The Ecstatic Relations" by the age of 12, and started performing professionally by the age of 15. Knowing music was his passion, Tom attended Berklee College of Music, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree in Arranging and Composing. After graduation Tom wrote ensemble arrangments for local bands and pursued solo gigs playing and singing original songs and covers. Then finally deciding to join "The Aaron Ray Show" a Las Vegas style show band, that played throughout the Boston area. Many bands were to follow... On the road for a year and a half with the "EZ Daze Band" along with the "Tom Yolandis Orchestra" worked as a sideman with "Herb Reed and the Platters" before forming his first general business group"Impulse" Yet constantly playing and singing his original music with bands such as "Smash Palace" "The Tom Rudd Band" and "Echo Bridge". Tom currently has been with the band "Clockwork" for 16 years playing weddings, cooperate functions, and general business work. Along with starting a classic rock group called "Smilin' Jones" that enjoys playing around the Waltham, MA area.
