Story Behind The Song
Towards the end of my college years I had the good fortune of meeting and working with the great composer and arranger Gil Fuller, Gil was the composer and arranger for the Dizzy Gillespie Orchestras of the 1940s and went on to write for countless other musicians. I leanred a lot from this man and learned of his death upon my return from my first tour of Japan. With the sound of the Japanese music firmly in my consciouness and the memory of Gil ensconsed in my soul I wrote this piece.
