Blues In The Slope

Story Behind The Song

For a period of time I lived in an area Brooklyn known as Park Slope. This area traditionally was an enclave for artists of many different disciplines. When this tune was written was during the begining of the "gentrification" movement in Brooklyn and in Park Slope. The whole thing gave me the blues.

Song Description

Written in the style of John Coltrane, Stanley Turrentine, and Grant Green. This tune follows the basic structure of a minor blues but the last few chords are a bit different.
