Story Behind the Song

Song was written after the birth of our daughter. My mother died later that year. She was able to meet our daughter during her remaining time with us. It was a blessing for all of us. This song is a celebration of God's love for us all and His understanding for what is truly important in life.

Lyrics

Through my children's eyes, I recall the power of Jesus
Remembering the younger days, when my life was in his hands
And when my children smile, I recall the innocent feelings
Knowing he was always with me through each and every day

On and through the years, when I reached out to capture a moment
There were times I walked alone, unaware the Lord was there
Then he gave me love, at a time when answers were distant
And through my children's eyes appeared a faith that I once knew

Not so long ago when I was down
I relied on faith and love to lead me through the pain
The Lord reminds us all, though our world is constantly changing
His words will lead us home to stay

Through our children's Eyes, help us find that lasting spirit
Give us strength to find our dreams and turn this world around
Ours is yours to hold, and when the moment comes to be near you
We will be free
And we will believe
We will believe in you
