Song Description

The world is a tough, lonely place. Pay it Forward sends a message that if we stop and realize the wonderful gifts we have and that sharing them will make our world a better place, things will be alright. This is God's Will!!!

Story Behind the Song

The movie Pay it Forward inspired this song. The concept of people reaching out and helping each other is essential to our survival. This song is my testament to that thought.

Lyrics

I'm sitting on the outside of this little place called nowhere
Never asking questions 'bout the past
While life goes swishing by me through a maze of endless highways
In my mind the resolutions come to fast

No one seems to know the reasons why or how I got here
They only shoot me anecdotes and lies
Do they realize that compromising love for sell indulgence
Will leave an ugly mark upon their lives

Ohh, I'm waiting for a sign
Telling me that things will be alright
Ohh, it can't appear too soon
And when it does I'll share it all with you'
And Pay it Forward 'till we're through

There's so much we don't know about the lives that touch us daily
We're all caught up just trying to get by
With bars and cars and scars and wars and sell destructing metaphors
At times I just want to shrivel up and die

But then the feeling comes to me that life's like a box of chocolates
I'll never know what's there until I try
And everybody's got their own distinctive way of reaching out
To capture dreams that keep their spirits flying

Ohh, I'm waiting for a sign
Telling me that things will be alright
Ohh, it can't appear too soon
And when it does I'll share it all with you'
And Pay it Forward 'till we're through
