Song Description

For Our Freedom is a tribute to our Fore Fathers and all the people who have fought and given their lives to preserve the freedoms we enjoy in this great country called America. We can never forget the cost for freedom. I have tried to bring that message home with this song.

Story Behind the Song

Read a book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Chapter dealing with persistence and achieving your dreams was exemplified by our Fore Fathers and how they achieved freedom for America. For Our Freedom tells that story.

Lyrics

Do you recall the story that brought us to this day.
When our country's future, realized a better way.
A group of men decided, that nature's law was pure
So they made a promise, to God, to me, to you
They set out to conquer, the monarchy that ruled
Though the pain and strife proved high, it was something they had to do
To preserve the future, for people who believe
In the right to pray and prosper, love, learn and grieve

For our freedom, for our freedom,
Many put their faith in God and the power of a dream
For our freedom, for our freedom
America, you are my home

After years of suffering, for their family and friends
The judgment day arrived at last, for these 56 brave men
They signed a piece of paper that gave them back their lives
Born with peace and honor and a power in their eyes
We celebrate the history with fireworks and cheers
But don't forget the sacrifice and the rivers filled with tears
America is beauty and a land that's filled with pride
Praise God for the spirit and the love that burns inside
