Story Behind The Song
The African percussion is played by Leon Mobley, of Ben Harper's band, The Innocent Criminals. He produced my first recording, many years ago, and was one of my percussion teachers. Although I play percussion on most of the other tracks, I wanted a "master's touch" on this one. When he came into the studio, with like 20 drums, nothing but magic, and a lot of laughter, could result. Marti and I laid down several vocal harmonies, but Kevin added the "growling" low male voice, which makes the song for me. Enjoy!
