Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song while out driving and stopping at a gas station one day. While waiting for the pump to fill, I ended up talking with the owner who happended to have had to drop out of college from a Biology degree and a possible medical career due to not having any more money to pay for tuition. I started talking to other people when I got back home and found similar stories. Yet these people never truly gave up hope that things would get better. They gave me the inspiration to keep going with music.

Lyrics
I see them alone on a sleepless night,
In another out of the way,
I don't know what they feel inside,
I only hear their cries,
For them the game didn't work out right,
When they started out with a plan,
The train they take goes nowhere fast,
It moves on..................
And they're believing, and feeling,
Their living on memories,
But their dreaming, they're screaming,
And hear is what they say,
You can lead me on,
to the water's edge,
You can't make me drink it,
Cause it took so long,
just know who I am,
And I won't let you take it,
Well I don't know,
Where this road's gonna lead,
But in the end I'll stand or fall,
There's a man who's a nine to five,
He earns an honest wage,
He dreamed of having the world in his hands,
With eyes of foolish pride,
And he stands,
Reaching out his hands,
He knows he's lost his chance to show,
It moved on...........
And the demons, they're screaming,
He tries to fight insanity,
He rolls his dice on the chance of life,
And looks inside himself he says,
You can lead me on,
to the water's edge,
You can't make me drink it,
Cause it took so long,
just know who I am,
And I won't let you take it,
Well I don't know,
Where this road's gonna lead,
But in the end I'll stand or fall,
You can lead me on,
to the water's edge,
You can't make me drink it,
Cause it took so long,
just know who I am,
And I won't let you take it,
Well I don't know,
Where this road's gonna lead,
But in the end I'll stand or fall,
You can lead me on,
to the water's edge,
You can't make me drink it,
Cause it took so long,
just know who I am,
And I won't let you take it,
Well I don't know,
Where this road's gonna lead,
But in the end I'll stand or fall,
