Song Description

Just one more love song about how I still see the light of love in my wife's eyes when I look into them.

Story Behind the Song

I wrote this song the next day after coming to bed at 3AM and realizing how many nights over the course of 8 years of trying to be a "Rock Star" I had been doing this, and how much of strangers my wife and I had become. I fell in love with her all over again just looking at her alone in the bed. I was very influenced by the latin pop sound of Jon Secada and Ricky Martin, and also Richie Sambora when I wrote this.

Lyrics

Night is falling beyond,
I'm walking softly,
I turn and open the door, peer inside,

Standing next to your side,
You're stirring gently,
I'm looking into my mind, and following,
The memories of our life,

I realize that its time,
The moments passing by,
I can't keep it down,
I can't feel it out,
So I'm holding on as I can,

When I look into your eyes,
I see a flame,
And all the things that I should strive for,
They're more than words to know what you feel inside,
But you know they still defy your time,
All of the time,

I whisper into your ear,
I'm falling slowly,
That I've lost the skill and I'm following close behind,
You turn and open your eyes, you smile so softly,
And you tell me, that you know we'll see it through,
Oh you know that we'll get by,

I realize I've been blind,
It was before me all the time,
I tried to justify,
Give an alibi,
And offer up a disguise,

When I look into your eyes,
I see a flame,
And all the things that I should strive for,
They're more than words to know what you feel inside,
But you know they still defy your time,
All of the time,

When I look into your eyes,
I see a flame,
They're more than words to know what you feel inside,
But you know they still defy your time,

When I look into your eyes,
I see a flame,
They're more than words to know what you feel inside,
But you know they still defy your time,

All of the time,
All of the time,
All of the time,
