I don't want to wake up, I don't want to leave
there's nothing I want, nothing I need,
that I can't find in my dreams.

I could open my eyes, crawl out of bed,
pour me some coffee to staighten my head.
But why, when I can simply dream?

When the world is right outside my window
and it's pounding on the wall,
I can drift away...
to anyplace at all my imagination calls for me to go.
And I would gladly stay there
if I could only stay there,

Drifting along in that beautiful place
somewhere between asleep and awake.
And I wish I could stay there in my dreams.
If only I could stay in my dreams...
