We are all in this together, not a one of us alone.
So it's sad to have to say that we have never found a way to get along.
If you wonder where we're going take one look at where we've been.
We can learn from our experience or ride this silly carousel again and again....

We will sail this fragile ship across these endless seas,
searching for some fabled distant shore.
And though the course is perilous, still we struggle ever on,
in hopes of finding refuge from the storm.

There will always be among us those who can or will not see.
But when everything is said and done
there's only just this one world at our feet.
We have looked upon the atom, there are footprints on the moon.
But if life is like a symphony then all our violins are out of tune.

And so we sail this fragile ship across these raging seas,
straight into the fury of the storm.
And though the course is perilous, still we struggle ever on,
Searching for this fabled distant shore.

Far beyond the setting sun, what is yet to be.
Guided by a distant star , driven by our dreams.
We will sail away.

We are all in this together and many times we've lost our way.
And all throughout these many years
we've fought our wars and cried our tears
And still at the end of the day..
