Story Behind The Song
A good example of what happens when you spend too much time on a song and don't keep the ideas simple. I liked the basic verse riff but decided to add a high-flying center section, sliding the tempo around. The ending is probably the best part of the song. Take it or leave it, music to do dishes by, and write your congressperson.
Song Description
A lot of guitar experiments, and a stab at using a synth bass instead of a string bass. Strictly an experimental piece.

Lyrics
The sun comes up, the green leaves wither
on the dusty ground, there runs a river
on frozen stairs, they march forever
they say a prayer, for killing weather
His world is filled, with endless lies
where children follow, the battle cry
through broken fields, they march in vain
to join the others, to join the slain
They built their wall, to hold the vine
now they shun, the bitter wine
who will answer, for the piles of bones?
who will answer, for the girl alone?
