Jack Torn is a multi-instrumentalist whose music leans to blues rock influences, often with a Floydian twist. "Blues with an atmosphere" is what Jack goes for. Using slide guitar and synthesizer effects, the songs on the first CD are an interesting mix of slide blues, heavy distortion, and spacy drift, with a strong backbeat. Jack does his own vocals for the meantime, in the vein of JJ Cale, but the music always leans towards the instrumental.
