A very crazy relationship and a tour de farce...a fun country romp, cool story line. Catchy Country tune for your artist to make his/hers!
No Way © 2008 Words and Music by Warren Hein
Here's the story and then I'm through
It might be funny if it wasn't true
So far fetched you'll say no way
You'd be wrong, it's a definite "way"
After a month I should have known
Hhe was better left alone
Yeah I might be just as nuts but hey hey hey
She splashed a perfect smile
Man her body stopped sundials
I should've thought with my brain
Instead of my--
No way, no way,
No way, no way
When she stole a new 45
And went out huntin' for butterflies
You'd think by then I shouldda knew
But check the hole in my left shoe
This chick lived in La La Land
Callin' all cars it was outta hand
She pulled that gun and yelled
"You're stayin, you're stayin'
No way you're leavin' me
Can't you see our destiny?"
And as she went to aim, I hit the stairs prayin'
Got to my car, stepped on the gas
Hoped I see no muzzle flash
Every mile I checked the mirror
She wasn't there it got much clearer
If you think this isn't true
Check the hole in my left shoe
So far fetched you'll say no way
You'd be wrong--it's a definite way!
Solid Country tune! Great lyrics and well delivered. Instrumentation supports the song and doesn't overwhelm it. Well produced. Well done!
Instrumentation, arrangement, vocal all good. I do not listen to a lot of country these days, tend to like old country when I do. Song has a very nice, up-beat feel to it. Hook is effective.
Great song , well done............
I could listen to the instrumental version of this all day. Love the tone on all the instruments and the balance is fantastic. Vocal is quite effective too. Good job.
Great opening lines. Makes me want to hear more. Interesting work. You are really good story teller.
You had me from the first note. I loved the vocals. I wanted more specific of why the girl did what she did in the verses and the big payoff in the chorus. Did you like specific instrumental parts--vocals
1) Does my intro make you want to hear the song? yes 2) Does my opening line draw you in and make you want to hear more? Somewhat 3) Is my melody interesting? yes 4) Does my melody get stuck in your head? yes 5) Does my chorus stand out and take the song to a higher place? Somewhat.
I like the intro, jumps out and grabs you. Great country vocal.
Honestly, as the great Max D. Barnes used to say, "The only thing this song needs is a release date!"
Cute song! The musicians all did a great job. The song rolls along well and the twangy beginning sets you up for a funny story. Something Toby Keith would like perhaps..
Catchy all around - enjoyed. Country with a touch folk. Fun.
This is a great song. It has a good musical rhythm
It's a catchy tune I loved it.good lyric's too!!!
Nice tune - the music is well produced, nice vocal performance.
Song flows very well.
From note 1 you grabbed me with this exquisitely produced track. Sweet! Love the instrumentation, the lyrics, the vocals and the whole package.
A good, catchy hook and an original idea for a comedy track. Very well recorded and performed.
Some real clever lyricing going on and a catchy little tune with some great music out back.
This is an OK song.
Good beat and music arrangement.
