Broadjam Member Reviews
We've all seen the western shows with some "doctor" salesman promoting his miracle elixir to the crowd and the buyers lining up. This song takes it a little further and turns it into a folksy ballad that makes the story into a song. Nicely sung, and the instrumentation is so fun to listen to.

All good stuff. Reminded be a little bit of 'The Eagles'. Great overall sound and presentation.

Lyrics
dr day used to ride the stage
trying to sell his elixir of love,
he'd roll into town ,tall hat, black gown,
with his doctors bag up above
and on his trail for many a day,
was martial mason who was hard as stone
who swore he'd put doc down in a hole in the ground,
for what he knew the doc had done
martial mason had a sweet young girl
most always by his side
but he caught her with the doctor
and he swore he'd have docs hide
doctor day drank his cares away
with his love potion in his hand,
as he gadded around the badlands
just to show off what he had
chorus
he sang
wild wild women will make you feel alright
and dr days elixir'll help you make it through the night
he said I'm one for the ladies ,
here's a drink to you and me
don't be foolish don't be hasty
be happy
the doctor loved the ladies and the ladies fell for him
and at the dead of night he'd be alright in a room at the local inn
on the night mason found him, there were two ladies in his bed
but the doctor said "wait marshall, now is the time to use your head"
chorus
wild wild women will make you feel alright,
and dr days elixir'll help you make it through the night,
heres a one for the ladies, heres a drink to you and me,
don't be foolish don't be hasty, be happy,
well since that night everything's alright
between the doctor and his marshall friend
the feud that was between them is surely at an end
saddle up, hit the trail, slap leather
drinking docs elixir of love
and they sing these words together
like the eagle and the dove
chorus
he said wild wild women will make you feel alright
and dr days elixir'll help you
makeit through the night
he said "I'm one for the ladies
here's a drink to you and me
don't be foolish, don't be hasty be happy"
don't be foolish don't be hasty be happy
don't be foolish don't be hasty be happy
