A very sweet, sincere performance of a sweet, sincere song. I'll talk about the lyric title or conceit below. The arrangement is simple but tasteful, and allows the very pleasant vocalist to be up front, where the vocal should be. So to sum up, sweet and sincere. Those are two good things, everyone can agree I think.

    - CW Mullins

Touching and soulful piece that is smooth and touching from start to finish. Instrumentation and voice are both ideal for this tune.

Lyrics

In the middle of the night with your face graced by the light of the moon
I could see it all clear
I watched you there asleep counting blessings instead of sheep
And I remembered how we got here

When we met, it was late for us both, call it fate
And my heart and the time went so fast
But before I saw your face, I always searched for second place
Trying to recreate the past
But you changed all that

Cos' you remind me of nobody
With a heart that's lifting mine
And you've so much left to show me
You remind me of no one

In the past I would relate to the same familiar face
Hoping that this time it would last
I'd look for what I knew or the best that I could do
But still I'd repeat the past
But you changed all that

Chorus

It's not some movie queen that you look like that got me
It's not the voice of a former choice or the words they might have said
Though you're a living doll, you're not one I recall
But I won't forget the day we met and how you turned my head

Chorus
