Story Behind The Song
Originally composed in 1982 as a tribute to my ex-fiance, I've been overwhelmed and deeply touched by the number of requests it's received by both friends and strangers for weddings and other special occasions.
Song Description
When composer Betsy Foster wrote the romantic and timeless duet "Loving You" in 1982, she never dreamed it would become a favorite with brides worldwide, from her small hometown in Virginia to Australia and everywhere in between.
"Loving You" is passionate, yet distinctly delicate, a hallmark of Ms. Foster's musical offerings.
The timeliness of the lyrics is even more apparent in the wake of the events of September 11th, 2001.
The many requests Ms. Foster received for "Loving You" to be played at weddings of both friends and strangers prompted her to have it professionally recorded in 2002.

Lyrics
Loving you
It's all I ever hoped for
And all of my dreams are coming true.
Loving you
It's the sweetest thing I know of
And I hope and pray that God will see us through.
Holding you
There's a warmth I never dreamed of
And a joy so deep it even makes me cry.
Holding you
Feeling oh so safe
Knowing that I'll love you till I die.
I may not have tomorrow
To tell you how I feel
And I may not have tomorrow
To show my love is real
I may not have tomorrow
But I still have today
To say
That
Loving you
It's all I ever hoped for
And all of my dreams are coming true.
Loving you
It's the sweetest thing I know of
And I hope and pray that God will see us through.
