Story Behind The Song
I was 20 years old and itching to get out and see the world. But I doubted my ability to make it in NYC, and in my hesitation I remained stuck in one place. This song was born out of great frustration with myself for not having the courage to move, and feeling like I was wasting an oppurtunity and my youth.
Song Description
The desire shake the dust from your home-town, go out and conquer the world.

ORBIT
Verse 1
Every morning moves like a movie
My predictable, habitual reality
It?s not defeat that sends me shuddering
But the contentment that I find too easily
The precious days they turn to nights with little life thrown in
How can I fuel my expected end when I?ve yet to begin?
Chorus
So I?ll move like fire and spread out with speed
Break my 20-year-orbit immediately
Cause I?ve circled home and seen its goods
Now I would like to broaden things
Feast on the new flesh of the fear it brings
Cause I don?t want this anymore
Verse 2
Sometimes life depresses me
I become a spendthrift of thoughts with no productivity
It?s so easy to lose yourself so frequently
And forget what it is that makes you want to breathe
The daily work, the daily craze, devours all your time
Still it?s not without its value if you keep your ambitions primed
Chorus
Bridge
Time ? it moves like a child with a morbid curiosity
It?s thin like the skin on a drum the echoes of its history
I see myself my small but equal opportunity
This groove that I?m in ? this slot of sacred space that was granted to me
And I must do all that I can ? it?s time to uproot and time to be brave
Chorus
