We have all come to want more from life but how much is enough? This song asks the question, Why do we always want more?

Broadjam Member Reviews

This artist has a quality that reminds me of Steve Wariner. The arrangement is very nice as the harmonies, instrumentation and lyrics all work very well together. The chorus and hook are very strong, and really make this a top notch song.

I like the "old" style Country feel of the song. Good instrumentation and production. I really like the guitar work on this song, it definitely adds to the feel of the song. Good vocal arrangement. I like the "idea" of the song. Perfect song length for the Country market.

Lyrics

Why Do We Want More.

You've got a woman who loves you, a family who cares.
Who could ask for more.
You've got a lovely house to live in, a job that really pays,
so why do you want more.
You got days for going fishing while sailing on your boat,
some days it's your call.
You got days when you're tired after working so hard,
so you do nothing at all.
-------------------------------------

Chorus

So why do we want more,
why do we seek another door to open.
Why do we still need more,
ain't we got enough with the doors already opened.
-------------------------------------

You're held in high regard, by all of your friends
and revered by your peers.
You look pretty good, you look pretty young,
and much younger than your years.
You're coming up to the time when you can relax,
all the hard work's been done.
You've had your rainy seasons a long time ago,
it's time to sit in the sun.
-------------------------------------
Chorus

So why do we want more,
why do we seek another door to open.
Why do we still need more,
ain't we got enough with the doors already opened.
-------------------------------------
Repeat Chorus
