I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, the youngest of ten children in a family where music was always around. Singing, playing, and harmonizing were just part of life. My mother is the one who first put the love of music in me when she introduced me to the piano. I was just a little girl exploring the keys, but something about it felt natural, like music was always meant to be part of my life.
