Wow ... Thanks Jericko. Always glad to befriend a Rocker with Soul. I also checked out your new pics of the studio & Mastering room. Looks very cool to work in. Are you AAD from record to mix to mastering? Because your sound is very rich and warm.. Sounds great, had to listen again.

Hey Perry,

Thanks for your review. Your comments were right on the money! It was an fun little intro to the real track we cut a few years back, thought it might make an interesting instrumental. I should probably give it a real mix/clean up. Thanks!

P.S. I think we know some of the same people. In your bio it says you were doing sound design on Simpsons, King of the Hill, etc. That was at Sony right? Do you remember James and/or Wade?

I sure do, I still talk with crazy Joel Burns! He has done a lot of work for me over the years! Great gtr player with the best ideas by far, a real natural. How's Wade doing? I think he turned out the best from that gig. Where do you fit in? Did you work at Sony?

BR posted over 30 days ago

No didn't work at Sony, I am good friends with James and have been working with him on a few things for a while. Yeah, Wade has really been doing some cool work.

Perry:

Thanks for the kind words about "Let You Go"...yeah, it is very likely that it sounds mono in the mix. I had a total studio meltdown with my computer, and had bizarre stereo issues...the result, an album that's cool but a bit on the mono side. Anyhow, thanks much!

Rail 1978 posted over 30 days ago to Perry Gentile

Dear Perry,
Many thanks for the review of our song. Just to put things in order the album form which it is taken was recorded in the Welsh Mountain Studio in 1978 so if the sound is not altogether that of modern studios you'll understand why. As to the band...it folded in the same year so I suppose that one could say that it's a first and a restrospective album all in one.
Many, many thanks for your review and if you would like to hear the rest of the album you can go to Rail1978 on Broadjam.
Good luck with your work which is of very good quality, and I hope that you have all the success that you search in this difficult and somewhat treacherous industry.

Thank You Graham, All the best to you too. From what I've heard so far, the songs are all together great. Funny... that thought did come to mind in the review of your song... It did have a 70's style recording.. I bet it was all together in one room at the same time. right? Which is a lot harder then today!! Hat's off to you! Keep writing man.. -Perry

HI Rich, no worries. It was just a short piece we wrote for a source music cue, they only needed a minute of music.
I just enjoy it for what it is, short & sweet. Maybe someone will think the same and use it in a Film or TV show! - All the best -Perry

Hi Anthony, Fellow Paisan! Thanks for the great review of Round the Corner! I enjoyed your songs. Beautiful stories within the lyrics, right up there with a Billy Joel style of soul. Broadway should take a listen. All the Best. Perry G
