Thank you for the review on I Came To Play. I really appreciate your kind words and feedback. This version was actually for an artist pitch so it's still a ruff demo. The guitar isn't real which is why it is buried lol. If I ever do a version for myself I will definitely implement your suggestions and put a real sick guitarist on it, and put in a killer bridge. Hello Gemma, thanks for the review of You're my Hero. That was a rewrite of Hero in My Eyes (original version). A publisher requested that I rewrite it as a mother's day song. That's probably why the lyrics weren't as flowing as they should be. Lesson learned. The publisher never did a thing with it and I didn't make a dime. OH WELL! Live and learn! Thanks again! Mrs. Kate

Thanks for the listen on my song "Bang Bang my baby shot me down" it is a cover of an old Cher song from the 70's..it's on you tube if you want to hear her version...I will tell you I sang the song a cappella and my producer put music behind after I recoded it. I gave a listen to a few of your music songs, so what are Basic Home recordings and Studio Demo?...not familiar with those concepts....a friend in music
I gave the Home version a 5, but this is a good example of overproduction. Studio is not always all that much better

Ah Ok! That's a pop dance song....You might be true, giving the fact that music can be over produced. Just for you to listen I added a song, one of my first several years ago. I've listened to some of your songs, which are nice! And this song "keep loving alive" has a a little nashville country vibe to. I wrote it, and some people in USA over at nashville made a little production out of the song. Still love it, cause it's what started it all. My little treasure this song:-) So perhaps you can listen to it...timing could be a little better, but well, I stille just love it:-)
Basic home, still gets a 5 because of lyric and many people listen to the song, not the production. It is where the hits come from

And I'm just writing and composing songs, but try to keep up with a home production to make things complete, ready to pitch and meet the standard of nowadays, but yeah, that's a whole kind of other skills! I agree, lyrics combined with melodie line and arrangement should do it. Did you refer to a particular song? gr. Monique
Thank you Ron for your reaction. Just wrote back to you, but I think I delete my text:-) I agree, melodie and lyrics should stand for itself and production is a whole kind of other job and skill! I do try to transform my ideas into a "full demo version" just to keep up with all the other brilliant home producers. But again, the melodie should speak for itself. Producers can and will make it stand out once decided a song should be recorded:-) Did you refer to a particular song of mine or just my "Home Recording Demo" mentioning, added to the songs?
I think I listened to all of your songs, one was there twice as a home then more recently studio. Here in the USA the past week on TV have been producers complaining that lyrics today sound pretty much like 3rd graded level of education, and one lady producer even said that is down from a year ago when it was 4th grade level. LOL But it is pretty well true, you have a way of expressing quite a bit above that level, and I wish you good luck. ps the rmain reason they tell me is because it is kids who actually pay for music, cds and downloads. May be true. LOL
Well I must agree a little with those producers on TV than. But I also think it has to do with the music nowadays, more dance/house/pop which lead the charts, the kids rule the them for 90%. I feel like getting back to supertramp, the beegees, and 70/80's pop...but music is still a feeling, no right no wrong to that. Thanks for the compliment that a quite go a little above the level of lyrics today, trying hard as not being a native english speaker though:-) Will continue, next monday my first song official song release of one of my songs (okay it's pop/dance, but turned out very cool). Hi Kevin...I listened to both, It's crazy and I'm looking for a valentine. I really like your style, genre! Gospel, soul is what makes me very happy. Both very strong, happy vibe, spring summer feeling to it! In my opinion, I like It's Crazy the most. Both very good, but last one makes me smile..very strong chorus!! Good vocals..in the verse/stanza the vocals could be recorded a little louder, but don't mind that. You know, I could here this in sort of sister act, fame, Glee kind of movie/serie. Keep it up...and if interested, I uploaded my new demo recording of because of you, latest song I've written. Not me singing thought, it's a session vocalist. perhaps you like it, ready to pitch now:-)
