I can't believe I haven't heard your material this whole time I've ben on here on BJ Excellent song ideas! I like your hardcore style of writing, you have this slow burn *ballady* rhythm that I hear so often in the US. That's cool that you are in the UK! I wasn't expecting that. Great stuff, I will have to take your song list at my leisure as you have 80. Liking I Am Me, Enemy...and I'm sure more. You're a great find due to Austin Tyler, Cheers!
Wow, thanks very much Mike, I shall look forward to listening to your work to. Cheers Ad
That's great Wes, 1000 words. I think you are getting your groove on again with this one. I'm jealous that I'm currently sidelined here in 'Idahell', but in a month i'll be nipping at your heels again. =) Very well crafted. You and Adam seem to work well together, I hope you explore it more. Lyrics work well with the melody. I have to check out Adam's stuff now! Good Job.
Thank you for listening and commenting Mike! I always care about what you think, and love to hear it! Best of luck to you getting back to civilization again... can't wait to hear some more from you :)
Nice Wes, you and Adam did a great job(as usual). Give Me A Reason has a cool "Sting-esque/Police" quality at the beginning that runs into the hardcore shred. Then it sweeps out with the chorus. A sound writing style! Like the lead shred towards the end that tag teams with the chorus to wrap up the message, then out to a reinforced chorus. Timely.
Thanks Mike! It was a lot of fun!
Alive and kickin'! Gotta' go to Idaho for a month but I'll be back in Cali just in time for the start of Summer!(March 1st) Ha! gonna get sit-she-ated for music and up some acoustic pieces I am working on. Hi-5's to all my buddies on here... I miss the chatter! will be around soon enough though, hope you are faring well with snow =) it's 75 here. Well... bye!
Matia loved the photos and lines! thanks for the big K jeans LoL! I getting a pair! Jacalyn!
Thanks again for the Kudos!
Michael, my son. You need more friends, man. You should have at least 2000 plays by now. What happen to Killed My Best Friend? Were you overcome with guilt? All is Forgiven. St. Nick
I just need better music. =)
Pure Evil... very cool Wes. You guys did a great job. Great lyrics and I love that you are coming to... wait for it... The Dark Side!
Ha Ha! Thank you Mike :) I've always been a fan of darker sounding music, sometimes it's about letting go and doing what comes naturally. Thanks for the feedback man!
Hey Tommy, love the slow burn you got going on with Georgie's Tear. I'm used to your longer song times. For me? I would love a third more slow burn and you cool solo style over the top of the mix in the middle part, maybe a 30 second solo? just a little "tasty" jam?
Keep it metal brother!
Sorry must have missed your comments, thanks for your cool feedback and have a bit more work to do on this when I get the time. Although sometime it's best to leave alone!!.
Hey Mike, great to see you back! Thanks so much for the 5* for At A Time Like this! :)
No problem girl. It's well performed. I will be catching up and posting here and there. I am still working things out studio-wise. But I won't let it get me down. =) Nice to see you excelling!
Hi Mike...how're you doing, bro ? Hope everything is OK, as you deserve it. I've been surprised receiving a message that you downloaded one of my songs...a big THANK YOU pal...you know how hard is this fu***ng business to go on. Now I've made a new Hard & Heavy album. You can see some samples here in www.manureno.wix.com, also with some list of places to download it and help my beard keep growing on...hahaha...
All the best, bud.
Hey Manu! Oh yes, I know how hard it is to hit your head on the ceiling. I've knocked myself out a few times... but now I've put on a steel helmet. Hang in there. I just got tired of having to go to BJ for my playlists. Now I can blast it out loud wherever I am! Will look now at the site. THX Your Bro,
Hi Loren! Where can I get a copy of Floating Art? Could you post the "Buy" button on it so I can get it?
Mike, I feel your pain. The path to Home is a circular and painful route. Sweet suffering teeth of Jesus, have a merry and bright time until you are called Home. Your brother in exile, -Nick
I will persevere. Ever forward my brother, in the face of darkness, I see best... Thanks Nick, Champion To All, for your kind words. And all the best to come for this new year. Be well!
Where are ya, Mike?
Hey Dianne! I'm still lurking around but I have a hectic work schedule and my equipment is still in another state =( Good news is I may carve out some time in a few months for music, but I work 10 hr shifts so it gets a little hard to get some riffs going. Thanks for thinking about me, I'll still kicking but I can't stand the thought of putting up camcorder tunes... I should be better than that by now =) Still, if you poke and prod me, I could put them up for "Informational Purposes Only" =) I can't get wifi where i'm at so I have to check in at work, It's a bummer for now, but after the weather gets done being deadly, I can poke my head out. Stay warm where you are! What we get here turns mean and nasty by the time you get it.
Glad to hear you're still kicking! :) I hope you're able to make more time for music soon. You should absolutely post your tunes for "Informational Purposes Only". No judging here. :)
Yes ma'am, I'm on it! =)
I will have to forgo the short route. Until I can get going with my DAW again, I just can't bear to listen to unnecessary background noise. And you can't get rid of it on a digital camcorder. Sorry girl, I have to get set up first... =(
Mike, saw a recent post from you. How've you been? Any new material?
Hi Dianne! Yes, I'm always working on new stuff, little snippets here and there. Hoping something will click and I can bridge some of these pieces together. I still only have my acoustic and camcorder with me when I relocated fom Boise to Cali, but I hope to go and get my gear up in Moscow, ID in the next few weeks(I finally have the cash saved-Oh, and I have to pick up a car I left there.) I check in regularly but my laptop took a dumper, so I am just biding my time. I see all my buddies getting good feedback on their material... especially you! Hope all is still going strong for ya, Thanks for thinking about me! Beep you later!
Oblivion (Salt Panic Mix)... #2 Hard Rock, Congrats Jason!
Yeah, noticed the other day it was in that chart! We rock it, brotha!
=) Nice to see all my friends charting! Keep it metal!
Whew! 3000 plays. I'm still on 300 =)
Good Job girl!
Wow Jason, you've been busy. More than a one legged man at a fanny kickin' contest. You and Wes did a great job on Oblivion. I love the production on it. Sounds top notch. Both copies have strong qualities. Thanks for the add. See you around the bend!
Thanks Mike for the comments and listen. Wes and I really enjoyed working with each other and we are both learning a lot from working together. Expect more tracks in the future!
Thanks for reviewing "I Killed My Friend". It was one of those things that seemed like "a good idea at the time". Ha! Anyways, glad you thought it amusing and great review. It was done on a videocam, so you can see I should be in the movie biz, maybe not so much the music biz =)
Cool stuff brother. Good fit for an Indy movie. Keep your eye out for the spots, you could get placed. Who knows?
Thank you for the comment Mike! I'll definitely keep an eye out for something...
I like the changeup in Ladder. All in all, four great new song adds. I like your song writing style, it really suits your voice. You capitalize well on it. Looking forward for more. Have a great New Year!
Thank you Matia.
Mother's Song is a nice mellow track to vibe on. I like you vocal technique for harmonies.
Surrounding Me is a great addition to the catalog, Good job.
=) Thank you!
I like Tribalicious dude. It could be used for a lot of things like at a cirque du soleil event, or as a BG track to the new HALO game for X-box. Nice
Nice Bluesy piece dude. I like how you can switch the different genres. Cheers to the New Year Bro!
Time to Run!
Hi Mike, thanks for the kind words. Proud you like "Time to Run". Joyfull and successfull New Year also for you and your dearest ones, Bro !!!
Good job girl. And don't worry, there will be plenty of heartbreak to go around. It really helps the songwriting. That's how Blues got started. Fun times ahead now! Keep at it.
Thanks Matia, I feel ya! I never seem to write when I'm happy;) It takes heartbreak to inspire me haha!
Thanks for the add girl! Good luck on your material, I love SLC. My 'Heartless' song, based on a lost love interest north of you, near Ogden. With beauty like yours, which seems to be abundant in Utah, you can see how I was left reeling...
Thanks Mike! It's true, there are a lot of pretty girls here in Utah. Hopefully I can make my music licensing as abundant. Good luck to you too! ;)
Hey Chris man, thanks for revewing 'Heartless'. Most excellent rating. I know what you mean about the BJ player, that has a tendency to blow goats because it streams everything. Welcome to the neighborhood. Long hair rules!
Hey Dianne, the new version #372 is great! This is the one you market. Great production and sound. I hear a more polished take here. There is a more heartfelt feeling in your voice in the original as opposed to this newer version. My advice, keep the original for your husband and market this version to the world.
Mike, thanks so much for commenting. You rock.
...and Roll =)
Mr. Matia, Hope you gets some new tunes up soon, brother. Weuns loaded some halloween crap, but Back Door Man is Duelin Dicks! Check it Out! - Fever
It ain't no Fish Blood, but it'll have to do. As for new stuff, I'll see what I can put together for ya on my Yamaha 6-string. That's all I have with me. My gear is still up in Moscow. Prolly for a spell. =) There is a train tracks that run through here. I'll see what I can pull out a my ass. Hope I don't get hit!
Thanks Jet for the cool review, I listened to your stuff and you have a nice retro 80's feel that's good on ya. Gooday' from your mates in the states!
