Hi Julie --haven't heard a new tune of yours in a long time (maybe my fault not yours). Out to Shine is just wicked cool. And your band sounds fantastic. Downloading right now. ~Jeff
"Shudder" & "Promise"..........great songs Julie. Contratulations to you and your band on wonderful productions. I tried to add to PL's, but bj won't open up the page at this time. I'll be back later! All the best to you!
How lucky was I to reveiw "Not You" .. You got the Pipes girl! I gotta hear more here
I haven't checked in here for awhile. Thank you Jeff! It is so so nice to get feedback like yours!
I really appreciated your thoughtful review of my song 'First you Learn to Jump'. I would love to get into your thoughts on re-working this tune!
Hey Julie! I'd love to as well. I'll send a message after some listening and thankin'.
I'm not seeing a message link for you. I can post thoughts here but I'd rather just put them for your private perusal. "friend" me and I'll drop them in a mail...
Thanks for the review of Cotton Sky. I have to agree with you - the vocals are too buried.
Sometimes the mix sounds great in the studio, and you can't tell until you listen to it on junky speakers, like the one on my laptop, lol. Good tune though
I'm planning on re-mixing this, along with a bunch of other tunes. Maybe take the best of my 3 albums and do something that shines!
not a bad idea.
I agre with , Don! It truly does make a night/ day difference!:)
Solstice is Saturday - looking forward to the light! Here's a tune a wrote for the 'standing still of the sun' http://www.broadjam.com/artists/songs.php?artistID=54943&mediaID=553677 1
well thank you ma'am for the stellar review of Hold Back the Day. It's a hard tune to get right, considering the gravitas
" transparent rain" cool song! Nice vocals, nice instrumentations, great hook!....visual lyrics.... Blessings.. Julia
Thanks Julia - appreciate you taking the time to listen. You are a songwriting force!
thanks for the review of Johnson's Canyon. Glad you liked it. I get the criticism of the lyrics. I left them intentionally mysterious - more of a tone poem(?) If you liked that, check out Fog driving and forgery for stuff in the same vein. Your project with Annika rocks! Great drive!
Thank you for the compliment. We are really enjoying some great success here in the Portland area. :)
I intuited that the vocal was intentional and really enjoyed the piece. Looking forward to hearing more!
Thanks for the review of my song, "Snow Line". It comes from my 1974 album, "Waving Prairie". The lyrical content is unique because there is embedded personal perspective and a historical twist.
My first two albums had VERY minimalistic arrangements. I was very much into creating empty space as opposed to "filling" space in the arrangements. Boy, have things changed since them, eh?
Anyway, always great to get your reviews and I hope you have a great Christmas and Holiday Season.
PS PLEASE check out my new song, "The Spirits Of Christmas" at my site. Very powerful and profound, but just a simple piano and vocal track. You'll dig it.
Tell me what you think.....
Hi Julie! Thank you for the review of Velvet Shadow. Just played Psychological Vampire and Shudder and enjoyed them immensely! Very original and excellent performances. I'll certainly be listening to more of your stuff soon. Keep up the good work.
thanks very much, Julie, for your great review of Epitaph, a collaborative venture with Bobby Sahlen of Mexmo Studios and Starburst. Appreciate you comments.
Wow Van. Your review of Shudder was the most helpful review I have had here on Broadjam. Thanks for putting in the time.
Psychological Vampire... Love the title and idea behind this one. Wish more people sang about things like that.
And now for something completely different - dragged out this goth/rock tune to submit to a horror opportunity - Psychological Vampire.
Hey Fred. Thanks for the review of my song 'Snakes and Sticks'. Just saying, if the song intentionally has no hook, you can leave that blank n/a.
Oskar, I am in Puerto Vallarta now. Get in touch with me. Would love to go hear some good music!

keep coming back here. Now is the time to add to the playlist! Wow!!!
thx Julie, you are the real deal and I'm flattered to be added to your playlist.
Was directed to your site by fellow Broadjam artist Wednesday Jones with great recommendation that this is the best song she has ever heard on this site. And she was bang on. Love this!
Thank you for your kind review of my song. Not sure what you meant by the piano in the backside. Hey, I'll be in Puerto Vallarta on the 12th. Are you playing anywhere in the next couple of weeks?
hi greetings unfortunatly i am right now in colima but in 2 days i am getting there where are u exactly
Hi.. Thks for the reviews, just remember in the " positive section" make sure it's all positive! That's posted on the artist's profile for a reason:)... And rule of thumb while critiquing music/ anything at all.. For every consructive comment at least 5 or more positive... And if the song is not happening for anyone.. Just click to the next:)... We all are in the same boat.. And people can handle constructive comments as long as there are nice ones to counteract:).... Blessings... Julia:)
I wrote: You've got all the right ideas for melody and chorus etc. I'm not rating the instrumentation, because it so distracts from your song.
It says in the instructions to explain your rating. So that explanation part should all go in the constructive part? Sorry again, but I don't think it was negative towards your songwriting - opposite in fact
Not a problem!! Thanks for clarifying:))! It is sometimes hard to get across what we are trying to convey...I appreciate your responding back! Communication is the key with any misunderstandings/ misinterpretations:).... Thks again:)).... Many Blessings .. Julia
What a fantastic review! I hoist a beverage to your successes!
Thanks, Jules. You are one of the "Jewels of Broadjam"!
God Bless .... Chet
Hey Julie, how are you? Hope all is well. I was happy to see that you posted a new song, but unfortunately it's not playing for me!
That was an Amazon bug and it's now been fixed. Go ahead and give it a listen. Contact us at customer service if you can't get it to play. You might need to refresh the page first.
Great voice and songs!

thanks for connecting. Great stuff. Player keeps crapping out though :(
I stumbled across a page that tells you what top 10 charts you've been in and I can't find it again. Anyone know?
