Sound Agenda's fabulous music has really reached a high point with this dark beauty! A little chilling, but that having been said, the musical arrangement and execution is brilliant and very tasty! Mr Zappa, where are you?

And thanks for sharing the " go to sleep" cause now I won't be able to fall asleep after listening to that one!!! LOL!! Amazing track that is!!! Thanks, Susan:))

Don't like mean girls...But I love your song "Mean Girls".. I am always amazed when I hear or see mean girls (or boys for that matter) in action so any song that might help this bullying problem that seems to be escalating in our world gets five stars from me.Great job on this song!

hi, thuderstew is awesome. tense but with melody. what software programs to use?

hi Gordon, 'thunderstew' was the test tune, all vst patches used in this tune were some free sf2s i found online and the cubase included synths :) i don't have much experience with the midi, at the moment i am leaning towards native instruments. what programs are you using?

Author
gordon chapman

i never did midi until a couple of weeks ago. the too funked up was my first midi drums i have to go tweak them and remix them. i just used the standard mix patch in NI's studio drummer. way too bass heavy! i went with native instruments komplete 8 which has tons of awesome programs. i still would rather play than program but i need to move into the 21st century and get the midi down so i can do symphonic music. i love classical music and have written some pieces that i played on a 15 year old alesis QS8. but the sounds do not hold up to todays standards. i bought the project sam symphobia2 and the sounds are unbelievably realistic. geared towards writing cinematic scores. still trying to get everything working right.i had to get another hard drive to put the libraries on so they will stream faster. i had everything working good but then i finally got satellite internet so i would have a fast enough connection to get all of the updates. installed the NI updates and now some things are getting funny and if i open battery 3 pro tools instantly quits. and when i try to shut my computer down it gives a error message that midi core will not respond and i have to force quit it every time. the old days with actual mixing boards and tape machines didn't seem to have as many problem as the virtual computer world. when pro tools is working its great! but when something goes wrong its harder to figure out.
however, you can create electronic music very quickly with all of the cool arpeggiated and sequenced patches there are out there. i think the NI komplete 8 have like 14,000 and gets a bit tedious going through them to find what your looking for. the native stuff sounds phenomenal though.
take care,
G

haha when all is said and done, to make sure everything works a little bit of luck too is required, or a computer related degree, from what i hear the drums on 'too funked up' sounds great, maybe too long of a tail on the snare...

as with everything, midi takes time and patience, but symphobia sounds great, i'd love to hear those classical pieces of yours

Don't cave in negotiate. If someone wants something they'll come to you. I won't even shop to someone if they want the whole thing Keep that track it's killer! (No pun intended!)

Just say what you want and know what you can live with. If you can live with giving up your track (for prob half that if they say they'll split it with a "publisher" Go for it. I say offer them licensing rights for that fee and stick with your guns. If they want it they'll agree. Or at minimum you keep half of all rights! Know who these ppl are and what they can do for you. This is Hypothetical right now of course, but advice for any situation! :)

i think ines has a great voice for 11 she sounds like with your help she could have a promising music career
