WISKA is a 3 piece band / song writing group in Cape Town. The group members are Johan Tiilikainen (JT) on guitars, Peter Wright on bass and and Dave Lewarne on drums and lead vocals. We have been together since Feb 2002 and have played gigs in and around Cape Town. Our music has been very well received and the critiques have been positive.
Dave has been drumming for about 35 yrs in South Africa, Europe and England and has a flair for writing lyrics. JT is fantastic on guitar and has been playing for about 23 yrs. He is a prolific song writer and the one who started it all. He has a home studio and records our demos. Pete (that's me) is the bassist and backing vocalist and started playing bass in 1990. He also plays acoustic guitar and writes songs.
