Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song at a time when I tried picturing how it would feel if my wife left me. We were on the verge of divorce, and I just imagined what would finally cause it and how I would handle it.
Song Description
Unique, blues/rock sound. Very passionate and gripping musically and lyrically. Describes his feelings as he watches the one he loves walk away forever, ultimately having only himself to blame for the pain that has been inflicted.

Lyrics
It feels just like yesterday,
when I saw you turn and walk the other way,
somehow you think I?d learn.
But the poetry of silence, pulsed strong through my veins.
Now the only trophy that I hold, is only all my pain.
So now I lay, crying in my dreams.
I do my dance and take my bow.
This pit of pride is getting much too deep,
Yet I hold dear my foolish vow.
It feels just like yesterday,
when I got my turn to feel the pain that I gave,
My god, how deep it burns.
Now there is no one left beside me, and my memories they tell.
Reminding me of my mistakes, that created all this hell.
Well I thought I?d get the chance
To say those meaningful last words,
But I guess that was a fantasy blessed with the absurd.
I thought I?d get a chance
To see my dawn of redeeming grace.
But I guess that will be saved for the one who takes my place.
