Song Description

The song speaks to her admiration of the values and morals she has been given and this has allowed her to over come the bullying she experienced in junior high school.

Story Behind the Song

Stacie?s musical motivation changed during the three years at junior high school. Imagine being harassed and humiliated day after day, being pushed and struck by other girls and having your best friend set on fire on the school bus. For Stacie this was every day for three years. The difference with the outcome of this story is that she took these unfortunate experiences, turned it into her strength and put it into words and music. Her first song ?beautiful? was written at age 14 for her mother as a thank you for the support during those very difficult years. Her next song ?I?ve Got Something to Say? was a sassy song just written to have fun with.

Lyrics

When I was a little girl, I remember my kisses good night.
It seems like only yesterday, she told me good dreams sleep tight.
But now that I?m getting older, not much is quite the same.
But I love you, no matter what life brings through glory and through fame.

(Course)
Mom you?ve taught me right from wrong,
And you?ve shown me where I belong.
You?re the reason for this song.
And mom all I want to say,
Is your beautiful in every way.

And when my life is rough, you are always there for me.
To show me who I am, to be strong with all the pride I see.
My life will be better than others, was the answers you gave to me.
And as I grow up, you are there to say, those answers will come true you?ll see.

(Course)
Mom you?ve taught me right from wrong,
And you?ve shown me where I belong.
You?re the reason for this song.
And mom all I want to say,
Is your beautiful in every way.

And when your life is over, don?t think I?ll forget of you.
I love you with all my heart and know you feel the same way too.
You?ve helped me with all of my feelings, you are a best friend to me.
So this one goes out to you, mom your everything I wanta be.

(Course)
Mom you?ve taught me right from wrong,
And you?ve shown me where I belong.
You?re the reason for this song.
And mom all I want to say,
Is your beautiful in every way.

And mom all I want to say,
Is your beautiful in every way. Hmmmmm, mmmmm
