Miss Liberty

Story Behind The Song

The statue "Miss Liberty" stands above Congress. With her blessing, many wonderful things can be done. Miss Liberty represents the good and noble power of our government. "Miss Liberty" was Rocking thru America's most successful song on SoundClick.com. It reached Number One in the SoundClick Country Charts on May 10, 2006 with over 1,600 song plays the previous day. Its patriotic theme seems to make people want to play it over and over again and it has the band?s highest download rate on the internet. This could translate to good record sales in the right market. Let?s hope that Miss Liberty makes it! A returning veteran from Iraq recently remarked regarding Miss Liberty, ?Of all the genres I listen, I don't listen to country very often but this is just awesome. I like everyone else am diggin' on the lyrics. Put a smile on my face too. Wonderful guitar playing, Great song!!!?

Song Description

This song was inspired by the statue on the top of the United States Capitol Building. Its official name is, "Liberty Triumphant." Of course, the statue on the top of the Capitol has no rings in her nose nor bows on her toes. I was thinking of an ideal Miss Liberty that would come to life and perhaps have such features.

Lyrics

She's got Rings on her fingers
Bows in her Hair
When she walks down the docks of Salty Town
All the lonely sailors swear,
(Aww shucks, gee whizz):

She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were Mine
She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were.... Mine!

She's got Bows on her Toes
Flowers in her Hair
When She walks right through the Navy Yard
She gets saluted everywhere

She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were Mine
She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were.... Mine!

She's got Bows on her Toes
Rings in her Nose
All the Hippies down in Sexyville
All want to wear her Clothes

She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were Mine
She's so Beautiful, She's so Fine
She's so Beautiful, And I wish She were.... Mine!
