A Token of My Esteem

Story Behind The Song

Over the years, many bands have put out tunes with that Boston "Back Bay sound." Perhaps the most famous was "Dirty Water" by the Standells in the 1960's. Here is my version of the same style.

Song Description

It's very common to hear songs like this in Boston's Back Bay, where numerous colleges are located. This is a style of rock n roll that is unique to Boston.

Lyrics

I ride the trolly car
I want to be a star
Here's a token of my esteem
I can make the girls scream

I met a movie star
On the trolly car
Here's a token of my esteem
I can make the girls scream
