Story Behind The Song

As described in my bio, I have been through a lot in this life thus far, hence, the ability to compose deep, emotive tracks. This particular song was written in my late teens as an expression of deep pain, only later to be transcended by deep understanding. My journey has brought me to perceive that everything I have faced has made me who I am today and I have come to accept that. This song, with time, has also become an expression of that understanding.

Song Description

Composed in a time of turmoil, this song has evolved with me, changing and growing spiritually. Repressed emotions of losing my mother at a young age, abuse and torture by my stepmother, the lack of love from my biological father, running away, and eventually being put into foster care and group homes, led me down a dark chasm. Many years later I recorded this piece. It starts out sweet & soft then turns with a hint of despair and pain, only to soften up again with a reprieve of acceptance.
