Song Description

A song about chasing your dreams and beginning your journey solo, if you have to, trusting that the right people will come into your life along the way.

Story Behind the Song

I moved to Nashville from Chicago in 2019 to pursue my dream of being a performing artist and songwriter, knowing only one person in town before I got here. I made the move on faith, trusting that if Nashville was where I was supposed to be, I would meet the right people who could help me make my dream come true when I got here. A few of those people who I've met helped me write and record this song!

Broadjam Member Reviews

I'm in love with this one. The song is perfection.
The singer is so believable and just so on the money for this tune, it begs to played again after you've heard it once.
One of the most clever songs about nothing that I've ever heard.

Lyrics

Verse 1:
It's such a scary thing to open
The door to your heart just hopin'
That who you let through will do you right
Met all the wrong ones and closed it tight

Pre-Chorus:
It took a long time to heal
Can tell me write what you feel
I don't know who'd wanna hear

Chorus:
A song about nothing
Either the chorus or verse should say something
And now this heart in my chest is just pumping
Seeking you
You better be coming
Be coming
Be coming
Be coming

Verse 2:
I made a move on faith
Trusted the rest will follow
Had to go first, I'll wait for you
I'm on my own here, you're overdue
