Story Behind The Song
I have always been involved with music particularly writing music for over 25 years. Having placed motherhood first, this song has offered me the opportunity to write about my feelings and desires. It is, for me, years of desiring to sing, play, write music and simply perform. My goal as a songwriter is to have one of my songs recognized by the music industry in the form of a cut, in TV or film.
Song Description
When it was announced that there would be a song contest, I tried to envision the feelings, experiences and spirituality that would come with having this dream and goal. Most contestants have a vision in their mind, sometimes for a lifetime, that they would love to perform. With their talent and the opportunity that American Idol provides, I wrote this song that would depict the feelings and long road ahead to achieving that goal.
