Story Behind The Song
This song was actually written for my producer, Larry Dvoskin. He had pushed through the production of another song. He had made phone contacts for me. He had encouraged me when I had self-doubt. He was supportive from a distance, as he was living in Los Angeles at the time this song was written. It is a song for anyone who has connected with someone on-line, by traveling or in any capacity where they realize they are two different people, living two different lives who have connected, found that they have a lot in common, but can never realize a romantic relationship. The song is also about me, my passion for life and fulfilling the dream of being a successful songwriter.
Song Description
The song was written for a person that is a mentor. Someone that I look up to and depend on. Someone who has been there for me. Someone who has been very supportive.

Lyrics
HOW CAN I TELL YOU?
Verse One
How can I tell you that I love you?
We live two diff'rent sep'rate lives.
Longing to wrap my arms around you;
A distant love we can not realize.
Chorus
And how can I tell you?
You are my strength, rock, fortress, too.
You are there when I need you;
Flowers need the sun and raindrops, too.
Verse Two
You saw something in me that I did not see;
Caringly you opened up my eyes.
Seeing the vision of reality;
Now distantly we long for loving ties.
Chorus
And how can I tell you?
You are my strength, rock, fortress, too.
You are there when I need you;
Flowers need the sun and raindrops, too.
Bridge
Live ev'ry moment.
Fulfilling dreams can come true.
Live ev'ry moment.
Longing to share those dreams with you.
Instrumental
Chorus
And how can I tell you?
You are my strength, rock, fortress, too.
You are there when I need you;
Flowers need the sun and raindrops, too.
How can I tell you that I love you? Love you!
