Story Behind The Song
I actually had an incident where I wound up in the hospital on 4th of July. I jokingly told my Dad... Bob Paquette... that I should write a song called "Beer and Fireworks". Unknowingly, we both went off and wrote two differnt songs. This is the merging of the two.

Lyrics
BEER AND FIREWORKS
By James & Robert Paquette
VERSE:
Independence Day is all about freedom
Family and beer and barbeque
And not wanting to wait till the sun goes down
To set fire to my first bottle rocket fuse
So we tied a cherry bomb to my nephews Yugioh
Just like the time my daddy blew apart my G.I. Joe
CHORUS:
And I blame beer and fireworks an old family tradition
Beer and fireworks on the Fourth of July
I can still hear momma shouting out from the kitchen
Don?t mix beer and fireworks or you?re gonna shoot out your eye
VERSE:
The keg began to float and the sky grew dark
So we pulled out the box we bought across state lines
It?s funny I can still remember wondering
What happens if I light these two at one time
Through my one good eye I saw the E.R. waiting room
And guys like me with gun powder and booze related wounds
(CHORUS)
