There's a hopeful, cheery feel to this song, almost like spring has sprung. It was the way I felt falling in love with my husband. He definitely took me by surprise, but when you know, you know! My friend, Tony T. Nguyen, wrote the music first and I was instantly drawn to the sound of the acoustic guitar on this song. When he invited me to write the lyrics and melody, I was reluctant (as I hadn't written anything in years) but found my muse and let things blossom.
This song is about falling in love when you least expected to. Someone enters your world, breaks down your walls, and suddenly you realize that you never really knew love until now.
Emotions wild and staring eyes. When you walked into my world. It took a moment for me to realize. This could be love. The gentle touch of your knowing hands. Melt the walls around my heart. Fight the desire. To let you in. Could this be love? Undeniably, love. | CHORUS Never knew I could fall so easy. Never knew a kiss could be so sweet. Never knew true love. Until you. | I find myself daring to believe. That my heart could love again. I'm hopelessly yours so please be kind. I give my love. Unconditional love. | CHORUS | With you I've finally found the strength. To let go of all relentless fears. I stand before you now. Take my hand, my love. |CHORUS | Emotions wild and staring eyes. When you walked into my world. It took a moment, but now I realize. This could be love. Yeah, this is love.
